Sandra Militaru is a physician assistant at Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeons, working closely alongside Dr. Bailey, Dr. Hutter, and Dr. Morton with a clinical focus in breast reconstruction and plastic surgery.

Education and Training

Sandra earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Informatics & Health Information Management from the University of Washington. Following graduation, she gained four years of direct patient care experience as a patient care technician at Overlake Medical Center. She went on to complete her Physician Assistant training at the University of California, Davis, where she developed a strong passion for surgery and its impact on patient quality of life. She is grateful to return to the Pacific Northwest to continue her training and career in the greater Seattle area.

Clinical Focus

Sandra is actively involved with the DIEP flap team and has gained experience across breast reconstruction, implant-based reconstruction, breast reduction, and complex revisional surgery. She is especially passionate about breast reconstruction, viewing it as one of the most powerful ways to help patients regain physical form, confidence, and a sense of wholeness after life-changing illness.

Sandra is committed to open and honest communication with her patients. She brings a patient-first mindset to every interaction, believing that medicine must never lose sight of the person behind the chart. She is driven to deeply understand each patient’s goals and definition of success, treating the whole patient – not just the chief complaint.
